#30 - 1967 Camaro RS

HIGHLIGHTS:

On Jan 12th 1967 Robert D Armor went into Newt Godfree Chevrolet in San Antonio, Texas to purchase a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. There on the showroom floor was a Butternut Yellow RS 327 factory 4 speed with console and factory gauge package and tach. The total selling price was $3284.25 less $1000.00 for his trade in Net Value $2284.25 plus $45.69 sales tax. Robert financed $2000.00 with SWRI Federal Credit Union of San Antonio, Texas. Robert saved his yearly original registrations through 1973 and service documents. Robert sold his Camaro to Samuel Mac Farland of San Antonia, Texas on May 26th 1984 in the amount of $1000.00. The documentation from Samuel is very comprehensive. Yearly original Registrations from the city of Alexandria, Virginia and Texas, plus yearly Property tax on his Camaro along with State inspection Certification receipts. Samuel was also very meticulous about maintenance on his Camaro. Receipts for all repairs, parts, fuel & credit card purchases during his ownership. An interesting bit of history about Sam is that his brother worked as ana editor for Hot Rod Magazine and was one of the first editors to test drive the new red 1967 Camaro released to the press in 1967. He later worked for Edelbrock Performance Products. Sam passed away and his wife Carolyn sold the Camaro to Randy & Vicki Larue of Kansas for the sum of $4500.00 on July 29th 1991. Documentation consists of Original Bill of Sale, Title, and Registration Receipts, Finance Agreement from the Bank of Kansas, Cashier's Check carbon of proceeds for purchase, Insurance binder, Odometer Disclosure, Kansas Highway Patrol Inspection and Division of Taxation receipts. Randy had the engine rebuilt in Feb 92. Along with rebuild receipts all maintenance and parts documentation was preserved. Randy told me he sold the car to his cousin for a number of years where he stored the car and never drove it. He subsequently bought it back in 2001. Randy sold the car ro Rod Barnes on Jan 28th 2002. Rod owned the car until 10/12/05.
